1. What is Mangalvaar Sankalp | Tuesday Oath?
Mangalvaar Sankalp is a simple, personal ritual. Every Tuesday, starting the 17th of Feb., 2026, I read a poem in which I make one commitment: I will not hate.
I first recorded this poem in 2023. Since then, it has often felt that anger has become louder, and those who believe in love, coexistence, and shared humanity have become quieter. This is not a protest. It is not aligned with any political party or ideology. It is a personal oath.
Tuesday was chosen intentionally.
For many people in my family, Tuesday is associated with Hanuman ji...a symbol of strength, courage, and devotion. I believe, strength without hatred is the only true strength. Courage without cruelty is the only true courage. So every Tuesday, wherever I am, I will read this poem...as a reminder to myself that I will not burn my own home in the name of fear, propaganda, or division.
Why every week? Because, dosto, repetition is important. Saying something once is expression. Saying it every week is discipline. This is my Vrat. This is discipline.

2. What Can You Do To Join The Sankalp?
Pehle toh, there is no pressure to join. In today’s climate, even saying “I will not hate” can feel risky. I understand that completely.
But if you would like to participate, here are simple ways:
• Read the poem...You may read the original script as it is.
• Translate it...You may translate it into your language. If you do, please share the translation so it can be made available here for others.
• Record and share...You may record yourself reading it and upload it on YouTube or any other platform. If you do, please send the link. I am collecting readings in one place...to make visible the many quiet voices that refuse hatred.
• Adapt creatively...You may...Read it alone or with family...Perform it publicly or privately...Whisper it, sing it, narrate it...Add music...Use it in classrooms or community spaces...Keep the spirit intact. The form can evolve.
This is not about being loud. It is about being steady. If you believe in living together with dignity, if you believe patriotism is not hatred, if you believe strength does not require an enemy... You are already part of the Sankalp.

The Invitaion to you, and my first 'Vrat' and Sankalp
नहीं यार, नहीं हो पाएगा।
चिल्लाते रहो मेरे कानों में…
मैं मुसलमानों से नफ़रत नहीं कर पाऊँगा।
मैंने तुम्हारी घटिया फ़िल्मों के सिवा भी फ़िल्में देखी हैं,
मैंने तुम्हारी छोटी सोच के सिवा भी सोचा है।
मैं ये भी जानता हूँ कि मेरे ही जैसे लोग,
अपना माल बेचने के लिए क्या-क्या करते हैं,
किस हद तक जा सकते हैं,
कैसे भोले-भाले लोगों को बगैर जताए
और भोला बनाया जा सकता है,
माल क्या है और क्या दिखाया जा सकता है,
कैसे नए ख़्वाब सजाए जाते हैं,
कैसे नया म्यूज़िक सुनाया जाता है,
कैसे नए हीरो की एंट्री होती है,
किसको विलन बनाया जाता है।
मैं लेकिन तुम्हारी काल्पनिक कहानी देखकर
अपना घर नहीं जलाऊँगा,
मैं मुसलमानों से नफ़रत नहीं कर पाऊँगा…
क्योंकि मैंने इतिहास पढ़ा है,
मैं ये भी जानता हूँ
कि नफ़रत और जंग जब तक जारी रहती है,
किसी न किसी की जेब भारी रहती है।
क्योंकि मैंने जंगों का इतिहास पढ़ा है,
मैं जानता हूँ जंग के लिए पहले
दुश्मन की ज़रूरत पड़ती है,
फिर जवान, ख़ून की,
फिर झंडों की, जुनून की।
जंग में हमसे पूछा जाता है
बताओ, इस तरफ़ हो या उस तरफ़।
मैं अपने ही घरवालों से
तुम्हारी सिखाई नफ़रती जंग लड़ने नहीं जाऊँगा,
मैं मुसलमानों से नफ़रत नहीं कर पाऊँगा।
मुझे डर भी लगता है कि मुँह खोलूँगा
तो duniya ki नफ़रती फ़ौज
मेरी तरफ़ भी गोलियाँ दागेगी।
जिस तरफ़ तुम मुँह उठाओगे,
जिस तरफ़ तलवार चलाने को बोलोगे
उस तरफ़ बगैर सवाल किए भागेगी।
मेरी तरफ़ भी गोलियाँ दागेगी।
मेरे जैसे करोड़ों लोगों को
लेकिन पता होना चाहिए
कि छुपने से या डरने से
तुम्हें सिर्फ़ थोड़ा वक़्त और मिल जाएगा।
पर जब मोहल्ला जलेगा,
कॉलोनी जलेगी, शहर जलेगा,
कोई न कोई अंगारा हमारे बच्चों तक भी आएगा।
कोई भी इस आग को
अकेले नहीं बुझा सकता,
न मैं अकेला, न तुम अकेले,
लेकिन इस नफ़रती आग में मैं
और घी नहीं गिराऊँगा,
अपना ही घर, अपने ही घरवालों के साथ नहीं जलाऊँगा।
मैं ईसाइयों से, मुसलमानों से,
अपने ही जैसे और इंसानों से,
किसी भी माँ की संतानों से,
तुम्हारे लाख कहने पर भी
नफ़रत नहीं कर पाऊँगा।
‘जय हिंद’ का मतलब मुझे मालूम है,
‘जय हिंद’ को छोटा नहीं बनाऊँगा,
नफ़रत नहीं कर पाऊँगा
